Clutter is a problem for most people in the West. Cluttering your life with stuff is how some of us feel secure. In Feng Shui, cluttered things and objects just gum up the works. When there are too many cluttered items in a drawer, attic, garage, closet or basement, there is no room for new things to come in. Cluttering up your life with stuff makes the energy of a room stuck or stagnant. Clear out the things you do not need and only keep the things that serve you. If it is believed that things are beautiful, that’s ok too.
In business, file folders stuffed into the cabinet so they can’t move tells the Universe that no more business is needed. Cluttering too many clothes in a closet does not make room for a relationship to grow. Keeping things that make you unhappy when you look at them is not common sense or good Feng Shui. Keep the things that make you happy or smile. De-clutter your life with a good house cleaning. Do this from time to time, even though you think it isn’t necessary. Leave no stone or box unturned. Have a mantra of clearing out everything that is unnecessary, bless it and send it on it’s way to someone else to use. Thrift stores are looking for nice things. Make way for new to come into your existence and support your goals. It’s good Feng Shui.
