Are toilets harmful in a home according to Feng Shui? Toilets are a necessary part of modern homes. They are not “harmful” however money or the flow of energy can metaphorically go down the drain. Having a toilet in the wealth corner could mean your money is being flushed down the toilet. A bathroom on top of a kitchen means that everything associated with a bathroom and toilet is above the room where food is prepared. Not a pretty thing to think about.

Will using Feng Shui principles bring you wealth? Using the principles of Feng Shui will create a balanced environment for the dweller to improve their monetary status and prosperity of life in general. Good Feng Shui will not mystically bring wealth if the person is sitting around on the couch.

What can Feng Shui do for me? Feng Shui will help achieve balance and harmony in the life of the person practicing the principles of Feng Shui. When there is harmony and a balance of energy flow throughout all of the areas of life, everything seems to just “flow”.

Do the principles of Feng Shui only apply to houses? No, Feng Shui principles apply to businesses, offices, cities, states and countries.

Is Feng Shui related to the Buddhist religion? No. Feng Shui is not related to any religion. It is an art and science based on the theory of chi.

Does clutter affect my life? Yes. Clutter is one of the worst things to have too much of. Keep things that you feel are beautiful, are of support, and benefit to you. Let the other things pass through your hands. Bless them and send them on their way. Don’t let your stuff control you.

What is a Bagua? The bagua is an 8 sided diagram of a space. Since space is a metaphor of your life, the bagua can help organize and enhance your living area. Is it necessary to do expensive remodeling to have good Feng Shui in the home or business? No. There are many adjustments that can be made that are not expensive, you may already own, and may never show.

I do not want to have Chinese statues everywhere. Is it necessary? No. The principles of Feng Shui do not require having Chinese statues or anything else that resembles Chinese art or décor in the home. There are many things to choose from to make adjustments or enhancements in a home.

Must I paint my front door red? No. Painting a front door red is a good idea, but it is not necessary to have a red front door if practicing Feng Shui.

Why should I consider practicing Feng Shui? Feng Shui provides powerful tools to enhance the thing working in your life, and adjust the things that aren’t working.

What size of space can benefit from Feng Shui? Any size of space will benefit. Feng Shui principles also pertain to stovetops, desks, beds, small apartment or mansions, small office to the whole office building.

How do I know if Feng Shui will work? There is no guarantee that practicing the principles of Feng Shui will work. Changes occur within hours of making an adjustment or there will be no change for months. The “power” behind Feng Shui is intention. You must have a clear intention in mind and energy follows what you focus on.

Who can benefit from Feng Shui? Everyone that seeks harmony and balance in life can benefit from using Feng Shui principles.

I share an apartment with other people; can I still practice Feng Shui in my bedroom? Yes. The bedroom is your domain. You have control over the space so if you choose to do Feng Shui, go for it and have fun.

The garage is connected to the house, does that count when looking at a floor plan for Feng Shui purposes? Yes, attached garages are always included when determining the bagua of the home.

What is the best time to Feng Shui a home? Ideally, before it is built, however, doing Feng Shui enhancements and adjustments can be done anytime in a home old or new.

Red is considered a lucky color. It is associated with happiness, luck and fame. It can initiate energy to move quickly.

Why is the number 9 special?
9 represents the fullness of heaven and earth, completion, power and success. It is also considered to be a mystical number because when you multiply by 9 the sum of the two digits equals nine. (For example 2 x 9 =18 and 1+ 8 =9)

Is Feng Shui generally accepted?
Hong Kong is one of the world’s richest cities and was built on Feng Shui principles. Many celebrities and heads of state as well as Universities and major business leaders are using the principles Feng Shui.
